Exhibition runs June 20 – Aug 16, 2009

This exhibition is a lively and diverse group of dog themed artworks from the private collection of Francie Bishop Good and David Horvitz.

Virginia Fifield: The Pneumatikos Series

Opening reception for the artist: Friday, June 19, 6 - 9 pm
Exhibition runs June 20 – Aug. 16, 2009

“Virginia Fifield’s artwork is a stunning surprise, rich in style, execution and passion. Throughout her body of work are contemporary depictions of animals that emit an inner spirit that will stop you in your tracks. Fifield has the ability to draw you into their apprehensions, moods, desires and inner beauty. The twinkling light in the eye of a dog, the strength and majesty of a horse and the tension between the desires of the human master opposed to the independence of the animals, are all perceived in her magnificent charcoals. The charcoals, devoid of color, are powerful in subject matter and impact. Larger than life works on paper will enable you to view animals from a fresh and unique perspective.”
