H-Allen Benowitz: People of the World
June 7 – August 17, 2014
H-Allen Benowitz developed an interest in photography early in life, inspired by National Geographic magazine and his mentors. In his worldly travels his eye tends to gravitate towards people. He is interested in their varying customs, occupations, personal lives, colorful dress, religious and other rituals, plights and hardships, and how they seem to thrive and survive among the most daunting of challenges. He only photographs when he has a passion for a unique moment. From his travel experience, he has developed a greater appreciation for life, and for our immigrant forefathers and mothers, who had a vision and sacrificed to come to the United States for a better life for themselves and their families.
