The Center’s Education Team places an importance on the individual student by creating year-round programming with our audiences and their development, interests, and preferences in mind. At the heart of all we do is a fun creative spirit yearning to collaborate with our greater South Florida community. We offer programs of all shapes and sizes so that there is something for every type of art-lover and creator! Explore our exciting program offerings below:

EARLY VOICES XAVIER RIDDLE
COLLABORATIVE EXHIBITION

Early Voices was designed to foster creativity and improve literacy in collaboration with the Broward Reads initiative and has impacted over 2,000 students.

Drop In Art Activity with Harumi Abe - 12 - 4 pm

Join Artist-in-Residence Harumi Abe for a botanical watercolor workshop on native and invasive local plants.

Communicating Through Drumming Workshop - 2 - 4 pm

Join musician Ray Robinson Jr. for a "Communicating Through Drumming" workshop, where families express emotions through drumming.

RAIL FUN DAY!

Join us for a FREE, action-packed family event with live entertainment, exciting activities, and train-themed fun! Visit the Interactive Arts Pavilion to learn about the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood and CREATE MORE ART with a travel-themed activation.

ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS: STUDENT EDITION

High, College, Recent Graduates are eligible to apply Participants will develop a 20 minute original playscript

Selected playwrights will receive a $2,000 honorarium

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS

No audition necessary to participate

This spring, Stage Kids will soar while singing popular songs from the hit film series, The Descedants about Disney villains' teenage children.

Audition or invitation required

Encore participants will journey to Mr. Mushnik's Flower Shop, encountering a talking plant, a quirky dentist, and unforgettable songs from the iconic musical Little Shop of Horrors.

This three week camp is a world of creativity filled with visual and performing arts, and immersive games that enhance communication and teamwork skills. Participants will perform an original play for loved ones at the 500-seat Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center.

From auditions to rehearsals, costume and set design, to the final curtain call, participants immerse themselves in the magic of musical production during this 4-week session. The excitement peaks with a performance at the 500-seat Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center.

A Midsummer Night's Dream

In this immersive theatre camp, youth collaborate with professional artists to stage a Shakespeare play. They’ll develop skills in reading, interpreting, and performing Shakespearean dialogue while exploring historical and modern staging techniques. Through ensemble work, they’ll build teamwork, trust, and hands-on experience in all aspects of production in a fun, rigorous, and rewarding environment.

College Students Applications open until filled. Spots limited.

 The Arts Aspire Internship Program is an experiential internship opportunity to immerse yourself in artistic innovation and community engagement. The program is designed for students to connect with industry professionals to gain skills, experience and knowledge needed for a career in the arts.
