Artwork created by participants in Memorial Regional Hospital’s Rebel’s Drop-In Center, which is open 365 days a year to provide social support, advocacy, and peer counseling for individuals recovering from mental health or substance abuse issues.

Also included is artwork from 9muses and Community Youth Services participants.

Rebel’s Drop-In Center

Rebel’s Drop-In Center is a program of Memorial Regional Hospital Outpatient Center for Behavioral Health. Rebel’s is open evenings, weekends and holidays to provide social support, advocacy and peer counseling for individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse issues. Featuring support groups, recreational activities and more, the free center is open to the community, and no appointment is needed.

Rebel’s founded in 2001, is a partnership of Memorial Healthcare System, the Department of Children and Families, and the Human Services Department of Broward County.

Named in memory of a person who had mental health and substance abuse issues, Rebel’s Center is open 365 days per year for individuals to “drop-in” from 3:00-8:00 pm Monday through Friday and 12:00 to 5:00 pm on weekends and holidays.

Rebel’s promotes recovery through the use of support groups, workshops such as WRAP (wellness Recovery) and Writer’s Workshop, yoga, meditation, arts and crafts, painting, music, bingo, healthy cooking, parties, holiday events, outings, and sports activities.
