Rosemarie Chiarlone’s work explores the fragility of the human condition in contemporary society. Awards include Florida Artist Opportunity Award (2018), Florida Artists’ Book Prize, Bienes Museum of the Modern Book (2008, 2006, 2005, 2004 and 2003) Florida Visual Arts Fellowship (2000, 1982), the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Award (1985), nominee for the Joan Mitchell Fellowship (2020). Awarded residencies at Deering Estate (2019), Vermont Studio Center (2018), and Oolite Arts (formerly ArtCenter/South Florida) (1998-2000)Miami.
