“My artwork has always centered around the horizon, loss, and memory. The ability to recall what no longer exists and the inability to achieve that moment. My process is concealing, revealing, and reworking an image over time like remembering a moment in various reiterations.”


Charles Jackson Adkins Jr. earned an MFA in Studio Art from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and now works at the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood in Visitor Services.
