Christian Feneck lives and works in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Feneck received a Master of Architecture from the University of Florida in 2004. Motivated by the belief that perception is reality, Feneck combines his architectural training with painting, print, and installation art to create visual experiences of space and depth. His paintings focus on the delicate use of color to explore the relationship of vision and the understanding of space. The resulting depictions of ephemeral places highlight the fundamental role color and perception play in our engagement and understanding of the world. It is the truth of our experience.
In addition to having work in many private collections, Feneck’s work is currently in the following collections: Helen C Purdy Collections, Special Collections, University of Miami Library; Brazil-Schoenberg Special Collections, Alfred R Goldstein Library, Ringling College of Art and Design; Books as Aesthetic Objects Collection, Jaffe Center for Book Arts, Florida Atlantic University. Selected exhibitions include the: 2022 Florida Biennial in Hollywood, Florida; 31st Annual All-Florida Juried Arts Show in Stuart, Florida; Into the Fold at Coral Springs Museum of Art; Saturation in Miami, Florida. Feneck has also been awarded the FATVillage Artist Incubator Residency and the IS Projects Existent Books Residency.
