yardbird records pop-up record store installation curated by Michael Dean

Nov. 15, 2014 to Jan. 18, 2015
Artists’ Reception Fri. Nov. 14, 6 – 9 pm

Michael Dean, who goes by the lowercase sobriquet dj yard, will transform the Project Room into a pop-up record store. Dean, propriator of Hallandale-based yardbird records, is one of the best purveyors of vintage vinyl in South Florida. As dj yard he spun for WBUS, aka The Magic Bus, when underground radio was in its infancy in Miami. As a part of this installation, there will be vintage Rock photography by Miami based photographer Mark Diamond.

Sales of records, posters, books and musical ephemera will take place at the opening reception as well as during the Three Day Weekend events.
