Stage Kids

Ages 8 – 14
Thursdays, 4:30 – 6:30pm

Stage Kids puts students on center stage to perform musical selections ranging anywhere from the classics to today’s top hits! Students will be immersed in performance techniques such as voice, acting, and movement while gaining skills in character development, projection, articulation, creative thinking, and concentration. Each session will end in a show-stopping final performance for family and friends.

Session 2:

January 11 – April 14, 2018
(No class on March 29)
Additional dress rehearsal: Tuesday, April 10, 2018
Performance: Saturday, April 14, 2018, 6:30pm

About Our Instructors

Claudia Lopez
Ms. Claudia is an award-winning singer-songwriter and musician. She attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and earned her Bachelors degree from the University Of Miami Frost School Of Music’s Jazz Vocal Program. Some of her former students are currently performing on South Florida stages, in Walt Disney Parks, touring nationally (Hunchback of Notre Dame) and have performed on television (Premios Juventud, Sabado Gigante). She has had the privilege to work with artists such as Emilio Estefan, Cesar Lopez, Bobby Crus, Luis “Papo” Marquez, and many more. Claudia is a certified performing arts instructor and is currently working for a charter school in Miami-Dade County. She has been the vocal director for the Center’s Broadway Actors summer camp program, and is now the Music Director for Stage Kids, as well as the lead instructor for private voice, guitar and piano classes.

Noelle Rode
Ms. Noelle is a seasoned dancer and choreographer with a passion for theatre. She graduated from the University of Miami where she was a part of the college dance team. While in school, she danced in the half-time performances of sold-out football and basketball games. She has also performed at Walt Disney World and several national dance competitions. Noelle has had the opportunity to dance alongside artists such as Marc Anthony and Prince Royce. With over 15 years of dance experience, Noelle has been trained in various styles including ballet, ballroom, Hawaiian, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, pom, and tap. She has taught and choreographed dance numbers for children between the ages 3-18 years old including several productions of the Center’s Broadway Actors summer arts camp program such as Hairspray, Jr, Disney’s Aladdin, Jr, Shrek, Jr. and many more. Noelle is currently the Choreographer for the Center’s Stage Kids program.
