Artist Talks and Panels Discussions

The Art and Culture Center offers specially programmed exhibition related artist talks and panel discussions throughout the season. This events are announced once scheduled. Please sign-up for our e-mail mailing list to receive invitations to these special events.

All-Media Juried Biennial

The next All-Media Juried Biennial will be in 2013. Center exhibitions are regularly drawn from former Biennial entrants, so this is a great way to gain exposure for your work. More information soon.

Professional Development Workshops

The Art and Culture Center offers professional development workshops for artists on topics ranging from legal issues to helping you manage your artistic career. More information soon.

Procedure for Artist Review

The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood is always interested in seeing work with which we are not familiar. In order to become acquainted with your work, we ask that you submit slides or other photographic documentation no larger than 8 × 11”, videos, DVDs, CD-Roms, or a website address (we do not accept original work or models). When submitting materials, please mark your envelope “Artist Review.”

To facilitate the review process, please provide the following:

1. Representations of your work:
a. Photographs, videos, DVDs, or CD-ROMs clearly labeled with the artist’s name, title of work, date, medium, & dimensions.

b. Maximum of 20 slides in a plastic sheet. Each slide should be labeled with the same above information. Slide key with the above information.

2. Resume

3. Brief artist statement

4. Self-addressed, stamped envelope to return work.

If you would like to have your work reviewed on a website,
please e-mail your URL to curator@artandculturecenter.org note “artist review” in the subject line of your e-mail.

The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood receives numerous submissions and reviews them on an on-going basis in the order they arrive. IT GENERALLY TAKES 4-6 MONTHS BEFORE YOU WILL RECEIVE A REPLY.
