The Art and Culture Center offers private instruction for students of all ages and skill levels. These one-on-one lessons give students the ability to progress at their own pace, allowing them to gain full understanding of the discipline being taught. No prior experience is required. Individualized or small group instruction is available for all genres except piano.

1 Hour: $300 for Members, $330 for Non-Members
30 Minutes: $180 for Members, $210 for Non-Members

Acting and Public Speaking

Acting lessons are great for those currently seeking audition coaching or for those who want to improve their individual acting skills. We will work with youth trying out for a magnet middle or high school program, Jr. Thespians, or current thespians seeking advice on their piece for competition. Classes are perfect for professionals hoping to gain confidence, stage presence, and improve their delivery.

Musical Instruments

Learn to play the guitar, recorder, flute, violin, brass/woodwind or piano! Lessons will introduce parts of the instruments, vocabulary, techniques, music theory, and more. Students will have the ability to progress at their own pace, allowing them to gain full understanding of playing the instrument and music appreciation.


These lessons are for those of all skill levels who want to work on establishing skill in rhythm through the use of percussion instruments. Students will be exposed to different instruments, drumming techniques, music theory, and more.

Songwriting/Creative Writing

Amazing for those who would like to write a song or a short story! These lessons will help improve your writing technique, vocabulary, and grammar. Instructors will guide students in lessons and encourage individual creative writing.

Visual Arts

Art lessons are perfect for those serious or curious about creating their own art. These lessons will introduce techniques, terminology, and more in painting, drawing, sculpture, etc. Students are invited to bring in the supplies they are interested in experimenting with for guidance from artist professionals.


Perfect to prepare for auditions and competitions! Private voice instruction develops proper breathing, stage presence and vocal delivery, improves pitch and tone, and projection. Advanced students will perfect performance skills and can study effective techniques in classical, Broadway or contemporary music including foreign language selections.

About the Instructors
Caesar Chiriboga
Performing Arts

Cesar is a Miami-based director with a passion for the arts. He is a graduate of Miami-Dade College and is currently seeking higher education at Florida International University. Cesar has gained performing arts training through his many involvements with classes and workshops over the past 10 years. He has performed with and directed theatre troupes and schools throughout Florida, including Miami-Dade and Broward counties. He has led troupes to earn the highest honor awards in state competitions. He hopes to inspire and educate others with the same passion and drive he possesses. Cesar has directed our Young Actors summer camp and is now working with our ARTastic Collaborations, Distance Learning and private drama lessons.

Danny Echazabal
Performing Arts
Musical Instruments

Danny is a Miami-based trumpet player and educator. He has a Bachelor of Music from Florida International University specializing in Jazz Performance. While in school, Danny played in various ensembles including the FIU Studio Jazz band and has shared the stage with John Fedchock, David Liebman, and Arturo Sandoval, just to name a few. Danny has had the opportunity to play with Latin pop artists such as Ricky Martin and Chiquis for music festivals in Miami. Danny stays busy diving into different styles of music, performing with groups such as The Clique, Ketchy Shuby, Rumba Kings and Juan Torros Big Band. Danny has been a Miami-Dade County instructor and currently can be found performing for Royal Caribbean cruise ships. He works with students interested in learning musical instruments.

Claudia Lopez
Performing Arts

Claudia Lopez is an award-winning singer-songwriter and musician. She attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and earned her Bachelors degree from the University Of Miami Frost School Of Music’s Jazz Vocal Program. Some of her former students are currently performing on South Florida stages, in Walt Disney Parks, touring nationally (Hunchback of Notre Dame) and have performed on television (Premios Juventud, Sabado Gigante). She has had the privilege to work with artists such as Emilio Estefan, Cesar Lopez, Bobby Crus, Luis “Papo” Marquez, and many more. Claudia is a certified performing arts instructor and is currently working for a charter school in Miami-Dade County. She has been the vocal director for the Center’s Broadway Actors summer campprogram, and is now the Music Director for Stage Kids, as well as the lead instructor for private voice, guitar and piano classes.

Rose Miller
Visual Arts

Rose received her artistic training in high school from top-ranked New World School of the Arts in Miami. She attended Florida International University and, briefly, Maryland Institute, College of Art. She graduated with a Bachelors in Art Education in 2006 from Florida International University and participated in two study abroad programs in China and Greece. She has facilitated art-making for diverse populations and believes everyone is capable of creating art. Rose currently teaches for Miami-Dade County schools, has instructed our Young Artists summer camp and is instructing private visual arts lessons.
