Broadway Actors Show Line-Up - Summer Arts Camp 2012

This summer the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood will feature one Broadway Actors Advanced and two Broadway Actors stage productions! These popular four-week, full-day camps immerse students in both the performing and visual arts. An exciting journey that culminates in a “Junior Broadway” production.

Fantasy Theatre Factory: Gordon Gumshoe, Fairy Tale Detective

Poor old Granny can’t tell you her favorite fairy tales because someone is stealing the fairy tale props! Bread crumbs, magic beans, a basket of goodies, and a glass slipper are all missing! Fairy tale characters are confused and blaming each other. The future of the fairy tale world is at stake and it is up to the title character to set things right. Gordon Gumshoe, Fairy Tale Detective, is out to solve his toughest case ever. With detective reasoning, Gordon sets out to locate the Mysterious Figure who’s been pilfering all the props! Join us for plenty of audience participation and lots of laughs for junior detectives.

Julian Toha: Infinite Potential

This visually expanding classical music performance is guaranteed to stimulate the senses and inspire creativity in everyone.

Atlantic Coast Theatre: City Mouse Country Mouse

This updated live musical version of Aesop’s fable features lessons in diversity and includes audience participation. The world “Famouse” singing duo, City Mouse and Country Mouse, tell the story of their adventure in search of a treasure. With seven original songs, this show teaches that friendship, even with someone different than you, is a true treasure. This performance is an enjoyable interactive experience for family members of all ages.

Florida Youth Orchestra: Major Music Presents

This interactive concert will appeal to the imagination and wonder of young children, while enchanting the whole family. The performance features the talented young musicians of the acclaimed Florida Youth Orchestra – ages 7-16 – who will present an exciting classical music experience. The performance includes an instrument “Play Pen,” where audience members hold and use actual instruments. Be part of the fun with Major Music Presents, an introduction to the magical world of classical music!
