Celebrate the New Year South Florida style amid the gentle tropical breezes, swaying palm trees, and soothing, lapping waves on Hollywood Beach at this free outdoor event. Arrive early and don’t forget to bring your beach chair, as this annual event cannot be missed.
On Friday, Dec. 31, the show starts at 9:30 pm, while the Saturday, Jan. 1 performance begins at 8 pm. OceanDance 2004 takes place on Hollywood Beach at Johnson Street. After the Friday, Dec. 31 performance, there will be a special countdown to the New Year.
Recognized as one of the nation’s mos passionate and powerful dance ensembles, Philadelphia’s Koresh Dance Company, prides itself on presenting its audience with a technically superior blend of ballet, modern, and jazz dance. The company’s high-energy, “in you face” style keeps audiences on the edge of their seats, while its dancers’ emotional intensity draws audience members into their fantastic world.
Directions and Parking
Take Hollywood Blvd. east to A1A. Head north along A1A (Ocean Dr.) about a half mile to the light at Johnson St. Turn right at Johnson St. You may park in the Johnson Street parking garage ($10 flat rate) or at any parking meter. However, note that the Johnson Street surface lot adjacent to the garage will be reserved for VIP parking. Click here for map.
VIP Seating
A VIP package is available for sale for both nights of OceanDance. Guests will enjoy complimentary cocktails and reserved seating at a table on the beachside deck. At midnight on New Year’s Eve, everyone in the VIP area will receive party favors and a glass of champagne to ring in the New Year.
