“…The Company offers insight and revelations, Pre-Raphaelite sensuality as well as sharp and unexpected dynamics…Brilliant.” – The New York Times
Lori Belilove & Company brings to life the spirit of Isadora Duncan in the internationally acclaimed production, Isadora…No Apologies. This compelling portrayal of the mother of modern dance showcases Isadora’s life and loves as well as the unique qualities of her repertoire. Hope Garland plays Isadora in the dramatic scenes while Artistic Director Belilove, a renowned interpreter of Isadora’s works, performs several lovely, simple solos. Daryl Boling portrays the various men in Isadora’s life. The Beliloveables make an appearance, paying homage to Isadora’s ensemble, the Isadorables. Voice-overs represent news reports and supply other characters throughout the play. This irresistible combination of captivating drama and gorgeous choreography will enchant dance and theater lovers alike.
