Visitor Services Coordinator Weekday

Location: Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, Florida

Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9:30 am-5:15 pm. Some partial-day or full-day Fridays may be added. During the summer months of June, July and August, additional hours may be needed, including some Mondays.

Salary Type: $10 to $12 per hour. Hourly, Part-Time. Potential for partial benefits included.

Liaison with: Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, general public and staff

Reports to: Assistant Director

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Open and close the building. Follow opening and closing list of procedures
  • Greet and direct visitors. Gather and provide appropriate information as needed
  • Process and manage memberships and lists
  • Answer and route incoming calls in an efficient and professional manner
  • Responsible for inventory of promotional materials and some storage items
  • Liaison between Center and some outside entities and partners
  • Process and distribute mail
  • Maintain the appearance of lobby, outside and inside common areas, library, and kitchen
  • Coordinate food and beverages as well as set up and clean up for meetings and events
  • Responsible to keep accurate records and coordinate community service and some volunteers for general duties as well as special events
  • Responsible for following financial policy and procedures related to cash bank, checks and credit card processing
  • Providing administrative support to staff
  • Other duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic individual with customer service and general administrative experience working in a professional setting. The candidate should work well as part of a team and also be self-directed, conscientious, punctual, dependable, and organized. Candidate must possess the ability to multitask and work well with a variety of personalities, while maintaining a positive attitude even in highly stressful or time sensitive situations. Excellent organizational, time management and administrative skills as well as an ability to work well with the public are also essential. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and superior organizational skills with attention to detail are required. Intermediate level of proficiency with computers and in MS Office (Word and Excel) is also necessary.

Custodian

Location: Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center (HC-PAC) and Art and Culture Center of Hollywood (ACCH)

Responsible For: Thoroughly maintaining and cleaning the HC-PAC facility. Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of ACCH facilities as needed.

Salary Range: $10.00 per hour. No guaranteed hours, but usually range from 5-15 hours per week. Flexible schedule as needed. Primarily afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Liaison With: ACCH management, staff and volunteers

Reports To: Manager of Theater Operations & Events

Duties:
Under the general supervision of the Theater Manager, it is the role of Custodian to follow daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules at HC-PAC and ACCH including, but not limited to office areas, bathrooms, storage areas, classrooms, kitchen, patio, fountain, lobby/café, booth, stage, entrance, arts school, and exhibition galleries. The custodian will also be responsible for performing additional duties such as general building and grounds maintenance, small repair jobs and other similar duties.

Candidate Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a basic understanding of custodial duties. The candidate should work well as part of a team and also be self-directed, punctual, dependable, and willing to learn the specific custodial standards for each commercial facility. The candidate must have excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, as well as an ability to work well with others. Must be able to pass a level 2 background check.

Event Assistant

Location: Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, Florida (ACCH)

Responsible For: Assist clients and managerial staff with events at the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center (HCPAC), Art and Culture Center (ACCH), and special select events.

Salary Range: $ 9.00-10.00 per hr Contractor /Part-time, On-Call position

Reports To: Manager of Theater Operations and Events

Liaison With: ACCH staff and management, clients, general public, artists, volunteers, children, teachers, vendors

Primary Function: Assist with aspects of events occurring at Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center along with event coordination for the Art and Culture Center and some special events at the Center galleries and Arts School.

Duties:

  • Ensure event coordination practices are compliant with company policies and legal requirements
  • Assist facility staff with event coordination to maintain the highest customer satisfaction
  • Answer inquiries for events as needed; Assist with Box-Office and ticketing needs
  • Act as event coordinator, as needed, during HCPAC and ACCH events
  • Ensure client needs are met during the preparation, walk-thru, and day of the event
  • Coordinate operational assistance for events and communicate relevant event information to facility and/or volunteer staff
  • Continually assess and monitor events in order to revise and update event operations as needed
  • Assist with concessions including overseeing product sales, inventory, and reconciliation of money
  • Assist with informational materials during the event for distribution to current and potential clients
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein and other duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements:
The qualified candidate will have a minimum of one year’s experience effectively working with event or coordination and an ability to proactively work with customer and clients to ensure positive outcomes. Candidate should also possess the ability to multitask and work well with a variety of personalities while maintaining a positive attitude even in highly stressful or time sensitive situations. Excellent organizational, time management and administrative skills as well as an ability to work well with the public are also essential. A specific background in theater or special event coordination is desirable. Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to learn new software programs is needed. Sound Technician

*Working knowledge of analog sound boards
*Running analog sound boards for a variety of shows, stage productions, and special events.
*Monitor and Front of House mixing capabilities
*Extensive knowledge in microphone techniques
*Ability to run cables and secure microphones in a safe and professional manner and as event requires
*Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein and other duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements:
The qualified candidate should have a minimum of two years’ experience effectively running analog soundboards. Candidate must possess and demonstrate a working knowledge of microphone techniques. Candidate should also possess the ability to work well with a variety of personalities while maintaining a positive attitude even in highly stressful or time sensitive situations. The qualified candidate should have a minimum of two years’ experience effectively programming and running ETC light boards. Candidate must possess and demonstrate a working knowledge of conventional stage lighting. The Art and Culture Center is looking for enthusiastic and creative musical theatre directors to teach our Broadway Actors Summer Arts Camp program. The director will introduce acting, music, dance and creative production techniques to students ages 8 to 18. With guidance, the director will create a curriculum and use a copyrighted production kit. Each session culminates in a full-scale musical theatre production. Four week sessions. Monday through Friday, full day.

Elementary Drama Instructor
