FULL-TIME STAFF POSITIONS

Design and Web Manager

The Art and Culture Center/Hollywood is looking for a dynamic design and web professional with experience in both print and web design and a passion for the arts. You will be designing everything for the Center, including print advertising, brochures, rack cards, outdoor signage, t-shirts, web pages, email blasts, and other graphics. The Art and Culture Center/Hollywood is an important exhibition center in South Florida for local as well as national emerging and mid-career contemporary artists. The Center is committed to providing exposure and recognition in the form of quality exhibitions and programs that reflect the highest standards of artistry and diversity. Each year, the Center presents more than 20 contemporary art exhibitions, artist talks, and workshops and more that 80 unique education classes or program sessions for youth in the visual and performing arts.

Administrative and Development Associate

The Art and Culture Center/Hollywood (ACCH) presents innovative, unique visual and performing arts programs. Its exhibitions, programs and performances introduce fresh perspectives to the arts. Education programs for children and adults celebrate creativity and excellence. ACCH, a 501©(3) non-profit organization, is one of only eight major cultural institutions in Broward County.

Responsible For: Office management, administrative and development functions

Reports to: Executive Director. Also works with the Development Director.

Duties

The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the individual who fulfills this position. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties required of personnel so classified.

Candidate Requirements

Candidate must possess a minimum of an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) in communications, business administration or other related field, and a minimum of three years experience in office administration. The candidate should possess proficiencies in word processing, efficient filing systems, Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint. As the candidate will work directly with Executive staff, Board, and the public, a strong sense of business decorum and excellent professional communication skills (written and oral) are required. The candidate must be able to work evenings and weekends for events/activities that relate to their area of responsibility. Also, the person must work well as part of an overall team and also be self-directed. The candidate must have excellent organizational and administrative skills as well as an ability to work well under deadlines.

Salary and Benefits

Full-time with benefits; Occasional evening/weekend hours for events and/or meetings. Relocation expenses will not be reimbursed. Range $27,000 to $35,000

The director will introduce acting, music, dance and technical techniques to students ages 8 to 18. With guidance, the director will create a curriculum and will use a copyrighted production kit. Each session culminates in a full-scale musical theatre production. Four week sessions. Monday through Friday, full day.

PART-TIME STAFF POSITIONS

Event Assistant

Location: Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center (HC-PAC) and
Art and Culture Center/Hollywood (ACCH)

Responsible For: Assisting clients and management with events at the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center, Art and Culture Center, special select events

Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour. No guaranteed hours, but usually range from 10-20 hours per week. Flexible schedule as needed. Primarily evenings and weekends.

The ideal candidate will have experience effectively working with event coordination of a theater and/or a facility. Candidate should have an ability to proactively work with customer and clients to ensure positive outcomes. Candidate should also possess the ability to multitask and work well with a variety of personalities while maintaining a positive attitude even in highly stressful or time sensitive situations. Excellent organizational, time management and administrative skills as well as an ability to work well with the general public are also essential. The candidate should work well as part of a team and also be self-directed, conscientious, punctual, dependable, and organized.

Custodian

Location: Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center (HC-PAC) and
Art and Culture Center/Hollywood (ACCH)

Responsible For: Assist in maintaining and cleaning HC-PAC. Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of ACCH facility and storage areas, as needed. Cleaning the HC-PAC and ACCH in such a way to promote health and safety while reducing the spread of infection.

Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour. No guaranteed hours, but usually range from 5-15 hours per week. Flexible schedule as needed. Primarily afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Liaison With: ACCH management, staff and volunteers

Reports To: Manager of Theater Operations and Events

Duties and Responsibilities

It is the role of the Custodian to follow daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules at HC-PAC and ACCH including, but not limited to office areas, bathrooms, booth, stage, entrance, storage areas, classrooms, kitchen, patio, fountain, lobby/café, arts school, and exhibition galleries. The custodian will also be responsible for performing additional duties such as general building and grounds maintenance, small repair jobs, deep cleaning projects, and other duties as needed.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will have a basic understanding of custodial duties. Previous experience greatly desired. The candidate should work well as part of a team and also be self-directed, punctual, dependable, and willing to learn the specific custodial standards for each commercial facility. The candidate must have excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, as well as an ability to work well with others. Must be able to pass a background check.

Sound Technician

Location: Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center

Responsible For: Assisting Technical Director in running analog soundboards for theater events at the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center (HCPAC) and Art and Culture Center (ACCH).

Pay Rate: $ 15.00 per hr Contractor /Part-time, On-Call position

Reports To: Technical Director; Manager of Theater Operations and Events

Primary Function: Assist with running analog sound board for events occurring at Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center (HC-PAC) along with event coordination for the Art and Culture Center (ACCH) and some special events at the Center galleries and Arts School.

The qualified candidate should have a minimum of two years’ experience effectively running analog soundboards. Candidate must possess and demonstrate a working knowledge of microphone techniques.
