About Charles R. Abele, (“Chip”) Jr.

Veteran developer Charles “Chip” Abele, Jr., is a leading figure in the South Florida real-estate industry with a proven track record of executing large-scale projects in Downtown Hollywood and throughout the region. He currently serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Office of Gold Coast Florida Regional Center, LLC (GCFRC) and Managing Director of Hollywood Circle, LLC.

In 2018, Chip and his partners helped transform Downtown Hollywood with their much-anticipated $200 million Hollywood Circle development on Young Circle. The mixed-use project includes CIRC Hotel, a 111-room modern boutique hotel featuring Olivia Restaurant and Bar, and the Muse Rooftop Bar and Lounge; the 25-floor CIRC Residences with 386 luxury rental apartments and a 1.5-acre rooftop resort pool deck; and a new Publix Supermarket.

In addition to Hollywood Circle, Gold Coast Florida Regional Center is moving forward on Block 40, a mixed-used development on the site of the former Great Southern Hotel on Young Circle in Downtown Hollywood.

Chip’s career includes the creation of hundreds of residential units and more than 2.3 million-square-feet of commercial and industrial space. GCFRC is a federally licensed and approved foreign equity investment fund that focuses on key real-estate investment and development opportunities.

Under Chip’s supervision, GCFRC has raised more than $100 million in EB-5 financing for mixed-used projects. He has developed and maintained strong relationships with top-tier migration agents, wealth managers, and private equity investors in China and other countries and financial centers, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Vietnam, India, and United Arab Emirates.
