As part of the Flamenco in the Sun 2010 festival, the Art and Culture Center presents a Gypsy double feature in conjunction with Bailes Ferrer.
Nominated for best foreign film, this 1963 classic tells the love story between two gypsies. Starring Carmen Amaya and Antonio Gades. Film by Sara Lezana and Daniel Martin.
Gypsy Caravan, When the Road Bends…
A look into the Romani Culture and Rom (Gypsies) from around the globe as five famous Romani groups, from Spain, India, Macedonia & Romania, tour the USA. Film by Jasmine Dellal.
$10 for one film, or $16 for both. ($8 and $10 for members of the Art and Culture Center or Bailes Ferrer.) To purchase tickets, call 866. 811. 4111, or come to the box office up to one hour prior to showtime. Bring your ticket stub to La Barraca restaurant in Downtown Hollywood after the film for a free glass of sangria.
