Summer Arts Camp 2010

The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood’s camps bring out the artist and performer in your child with visual, performing, and interdisciplinary programs, each of which allows children to practice the skills they learn by preparing for final exhibitions and performances.
Ancient Cave Painting Workshop
Ages 4 – 12
Sat., March 13, 2010, 10 – 11:30 am
Students will learn about the past while creating their very own prehistoric cave piece.
Drop-In Figure Drawing
Monthly classes held on the second Thursday of the month
Drop-in on these monthly figure drawing classes. Attend one or all! Use any medium and create works from a live model every second Thursday during the months of October – March.
Portfolio Academy
After-School Program
Grades 4 – 12
Elementary and Middle School Level classes begin Wed., Jan. 27, 2010
The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood’s Portfolio Academy is an after-school program designed to work with students in grades 4-12 to develop a great range of techniques to create a portfolio of their work.
Musical Theater After-School
Ages 7 – 15
Mondays 4 – 6 pm
Classes begin Jan. 25, 2010
This 12 week program immerses students in musical theater, studying acting, voice, movement, improvisation, costume design, and set design.
ARTastic Field Trips
For a fun, engaging and creatively stimulating experience, schedule your next field trip at the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, one of only six major cultural organizations located in Broward County. The Center offers critically acclaimed international and regional contemporary fine arts programming. This season consists of 17 different exhibitions with diverse themes, featuring art in every medium from painting and sculpture to film, digital animation and more!
Distance Learning
This one-of-a-kind program allows students to interact live with teachers, artists, and the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood’s exhibitions without leaving their classrooms, using multiple ISDN lines.
Student Exhibitions by Public and Private Schools, Universities, and Non-Profit Organizations
The Art and Culture Center opens its Student Exhibition space to teachers from both public and private school, universities, and non-profit educational organizations to allow them to display their students’ art work in a professional setting.
