Doug Crocco: Entropy
Jan. 23 – May 23, 2010
Opening Reception: Fri., Jan. 22, 6-9 pm
Doug Crocco creates highly detailed color pencil drawings that deal with cultural phenomena. In Crocco’s most recent works he addresses belief systems and American values in a time of uncertainty. Using familiar patterns and icons, themes such as fear, apprehension, hope, and individualism emerge. When seen as a single body of work the pieces act to tell a story of a deep rooted psychological conflict, between a dark unease and embedded optimism in the American consciousness. Crocco’s work has been exhibited in Los Angeles, New York, and abroad.
