DOG is a story of a heroine who wanders through modern art in pursuit of her “True Love”, a squeaky red ball! This unique performance is about the pursuit of happiness and is told through the art of shadow puppetry. Shadow puppets unite to dance across the screen, combining humor and famous artworks into a performance that will appeal to all ages!

As Director of the Puppet Festival of the Americas, Jim Hammond first booked Pablo Cano’s marionette performance at the Museum of Art – Ft. Lauderdale in 2000. Since then, Cano and Hammond have dreamed of collaborating on an original puppet production. This dream came true in 2010 when DOG became their first co-creation. Pablo Cano’s work has been shown in many prestigious museums and he has just completed his 11th consecutive annual exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami. Jim Hammond created Puppet Network in 2009 after having worked six years with the National Broadway Tour of The Lion King as one of the puppet masters.

All performances take place at Hollywood Performing Arts Center, US-1 and Monroe Street (1770 Monroe Street).
