Damian Rojo: Feeling Small

This multi screen and photographic installation is informed by a 2006 sound piece and video work of the same name. The audio was painstakingly assembled from hundreds of found cassettes of varying content addressing controversial societal concerns via subliminal messages, wire taps and field recordings. Accompanying videos of slowly dissolving, digitally manipulated stock photos of ‘perfect’ flowers with embedded images provide a hypnotic and nostalgic accomplice to the very real and ever-present threat to our first amendment rights.
