Citizens Interested in Arts visit the Center

"Citizens Interested in Arts" take a group shot during a member's luncheon at the Art and Culture Center on Wednesday, April 26.

Thank you to Citizens Interested in Arts for presenting its members’ luncheon at the Art and Culture Center on Wednesday, April 26. The group learned about Center programs from Executive Director Joy Satterlee. They also received a tour from Co-Curators Laura Marsh and Jill Weisberg of our current exhibition, Outside In: The Downtown Hollywood Mural Project Exhibition. Marsh is the Center’s Curator of Exhibitions and Weisberg is the Project Manager for the Downtown Hollywood Mural Project. Afterwards, the group hopped on the Hollywood Trolley and visited mural sites in downtown Hollywood.

Incorporated as a 501©(3) nonprofit organization, Citizens Interested in Arts (CIA) is a 100% volunteer group of creatively-oriented individuals who have donated nearly $1 million to arts entities in South Florida through its Grants Program. The Center is a current recipient of a CIA grant for its monthly Family Night program presented at the Jack & Jill Children’s Center in Fort Lauderdale.

A special thank you to outgoing president Hollis Freimark for her support and dedication to the arts!
