Christiaan Lopez-Miro: All Roads Lead to Cassadaga
Jan. 22 – Feb. 20, 2011
Opening Reception: Fri., Jan. 21, 6-9 pm
All Roads Lead to Cassadaga is Miami-based artist Christiaan Lopez-Miro’s exploration of a 115-year-old Spiritualist community in Central Florida. The result of a fascination with illusion and the occult, the photographic works in this series present a tapestry of images of a small town whose unique residents are all psychics, mediums, and healers. With this exhibition, Lopez-Miro combines portraiture, landscape, and still life.
Funding for visual arts exhibitions is provided in part by Francie Bishop Good and David Horvitz, the Hudson Family Fund of the Community Foundation of Broward, and a grant from Funding Arts Broward.
The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supported in part by its members, admissions, private entities, the City of Hollywood, the Broward County Board of County Commissioners as recommended by the Broward Cultural Council; the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture; and the Kresge Foundation. We welcome donations from all members of the community who wish to support our work.
