Florida BRICK Creation Challenge

In conjunction with the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood’s summer exhibition Nathan Sawaya: Replay, Florida residents are invited to use their own LEGO® pieces to create and compete in this fun state-wide contest and exhibition. Pieces will be displayed in the Center’s galleries and each participating group of entrants will be awarded prizes based on the following contest categories

Prizes
First-place prizes will be awarded in each entry category (ages 6-10, 11-17, 18 and up; Teams/Families) for Most Creative, Most Colorful, and Most Complex. Individual
winners will receive LEGO gift cards. Team/Family winners will receive a gift certificate to enjoy a pizza party.
All entrants will receive two complimentary gallery passes
to attend the Florida BRICK Creation Challenge exhibition (Aug. 7-15) and a certificate acknowledging their participation at the awards ceremony.
Important Dates
- August 1 – 4: Florida BRICK Creation Challenge entries must be delivered in person to the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood during normal gallery hours (Mon. – Sat 10 am-5 pm; Sun. Noon-4 pm). Entries may also be shipped to the Center at the contestant’s expense.
- August 7 – 15: Florida BRICK Creation Challenge exhibition on display.
- Sunday, August 15, 2 pm: Awards presentation.
Florida BRICK Creation Challenge Rules
- Use your own LEGO bricks and elements to build an original creation at home. Then bring or have the completed work delivered, along with a $5 entry fee (a portion of which will be devoted to the Center’s children and youth scholarship fund), to the Center for display and judging.
- Use only genuine LEGO bricks and elements. Constructions made from specialty themed LEGO kits are not eligible.

- Designs and constructions must be original.
- Pieces should not exceed 36 inches in any dimension.
- Individuals may enter their appropriate age category and the Teams/Families category (2 separate creations and entry fees)
