An update on funding for the arts
Perhaps you’ve heard of the budget cuts for the arts that have been taking place in Broward County over the last few years, but you are not aware of the extent of the cuts. The budget for fiscal year 2011 (FY11) is down 42% from FY08:

The situation at the state level is even worse. 92% of the budget for the arts was cut between FY07 and FY10. Florida is #49 in per-capita funding of the arts.

Now more than ever, it’s important for you to show your support of the arts write to your elected representatives and visit our “support us” page for more options.
