Gallery Theater is a new theater concept that explores the traditional and exposes the new in our pursuit to strengthen the vitality of modern theater; creating performances that are thought provoking, daring, honest and most importantly…Living.
We believe in committing ourselves to bold and innovative theater artists and encouraging them to create work that matters. We believe in theater that captures the heart and the imagination, establishing a powerful current between artist and audience.
From July and through the end of September, the Center’s main gallery will be transformed into a 100 seat intimate black box theater. Here we will bring to life some of the most ambitious, dynamic work in theater today. Gallery Theater productions will provoke, captivate and surprise.
Gallery exhibitions and artist talks are funded in part by Michael and Lou Anne Colodny, and Marianne Ferro. The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supported in part by its members, admissions, private entities, the City of Hollywood, the Broward County Board of County Commissioners as recommended by the Broward Cultural Council; the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture; and the Kresge Foundation. We welcome donations from all members of the community who wish to support our work.
